The measure will represent an increase between 21 and 36 cents in the monthly gas bill for most of the clients.

The approved increase will be in force from 1 October 2025 until 30 September 2026, and 440 thousand consumers will be affected by the measure.

In March, the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) had proposed a 4% increase in tariffs, which has now been revised downwards, mainly due to a decrease of around 9% in the forecast price for the acquisition of natural gas by last resort suppliers, as a result of the fall in the price of oil, which has occurred in the futures markets.

With the decision announced and approved by the Tariff Council and other entities, “the impact on the natural gas bill (including fees and taxes), for the most representative types of consumption (couples without children and couples with two children), translates into an increase of between 0.36 and 0.21 euros in the monthly bill”, ERSE details in a statement.
