In a press release, Iberia explains that "this opportunity is intended for professionals who meet the established requirements, including having at least 500 flight hours in CS-25-certified aircraft or equivalent."

"With this recruitment, the airline seeks to incorporate new pilots to support the growth anticipated in its 2030 Flight Plan, which includes initiatives such as the launch of new routes to destinations such as Toronto, Philadelphia, Monterrey, Orlando, Fortaleza, and Recife," Iberia said in the statement.

The 2030 Flight Plan, launched in mid-June, outlines the airline's growth strategy for the coming years and foresees an increase in the Spanish carrier's fleet and routes, as well as strengthening global connectivity in Spain and transforming Barajas Airport into a European hub.

As part of the fleet expansion, the airline is planning to add new A350 and A321XLR aircraft, as well as a complete renewal of the short- and medium-haul fleet. This is why the airline is recruiting more pilots.

Candidates must also have a minimum of 500 flight hours in CS-25-certified aircraft or equivalent, performing pilot duties at the time of application, as well as a language proficiency certificate, with a minimum level of English 4 and a minimum level of Spanish 5.

Interested candidates must also present authorization to work in the European Union and have an unrestricted passport, as well as a criminal record check and a valid Class 1 medical certificate. Candidates must be between 157 and 191 cm tall.
