Real estate developer Grupo Mais has formalised a deal that strengthens its participation in the urban redevelopment of Nazaré's waterfront. According to the company, the €7.6 million acquisition of the two lots will increase the tourist capacity of the town, which became famous worldwide for the "cannon" that allowed Garrett McNamara to surf the highest wave ever.
One of the lots will allow for the construction of a mixed-use building with 31 units, six floors above ground and two basements, totalling 6,294 m² of construction area, explains Grupo Mais.
The other will house a five-star hotel with five floors and two basements, totalling 10,301 m² of construction, according to a report by ECO.
