The festival will take place over four days in Vila Adentro, from September 4th to 7th, instead of the usual three, with the last day featuring City Day celebrations and a program geared towards children and young people, said Deputy Mayor Paulo Santos.

Ana Moura, Diogo Piçarra, Bárbara Bandeira, Bispo, and Dino D'Santiago are among the artists featured on the lineup for the 10th edition of Festival F, which, according to the director, is an event that provides an "x-ray" of Portuguese music this year.

With a focus on emerging artists, who "may be stepping onto a real stage for the first time," he emphasised, the team organizing Festival F—which brings together the City Council and promoter Sons em Trânsito—does "in-depth work" throughout the year.

"Ultimately, over the past few months, they've been outlining what's emerging, what should be highlighted in hip-hop, rock, and jazz. In other words, we're trying to encompass all styles of music, striking a balance between emerging and established artists," he indicated.

Of the nine stages that make up the venue, one has a capacity of 18,000 people and another is limited to 100, he explained, adding that this requires a design approach that is both surprising and comfortable for the audience and also for the artists.

With an average of 10,000 to 15,000 people entering the venue per day in previous editions, Paulo Santos estimates that the average will remain the same or even increase, noting that, since the first edition, more than 350,000 people and 500 bands have performed at the festival.

As a festival with a program that caters to various age groups and, therefore, is geared towards families, young people also play an important role in the design of the poster, which aims to be comprehensive, he added.

"Every year we have it—young people up to 12 years old can enter the festival for free, as long as they're accompanied by an adult—and every year we have more than 1,000 young people per day, on every day of the F. And this is a clear and obvious fact that the F is a family F," he considers.

The first edition of the F Festival took place in 2014 over two days. Since then, the number of days, the audience, and the space it occupies in the city have increased.

Initially, the venue had a capacity of about 5,000 people per day; today, it can accommodate about 24,000 people.

Visitors to F this year will be able to enjoy performances by artists and bands such as Bárbara Bandeira, Ana Moura, Dino D'Santiago with the Orquestra do Algarve, Julinho KSD, Nenny, Buba Espinho, Mundo Segundo & Sam The Kid, Ana Bacalhau, Bateu Matou, Margarida Campelo, Amaura, Pedro da Linha, Cassete Pirata, Tara Perdida, Lena D'Água, Maria Reis, Scúru Fitchádu, and Napa, among many others.

Daily tickets for the festival cost 22 euros for September 4th, 5th, and 6th, and 10 euros for September 7th. The general pass costs 60 euros.

Children up to 12 years old are free.
