Highlights include the National Spearfishing Championship, an open-water swimming race, bodyboarding and surfing competitions, and a beach soccer tournament. Alongside the sporting events, visitors can enjoy cooking demonstrations, talks, craft stalls, and traditional sweets. A new feature this year is a dedicated food and drinks area designed to offer more comfort while showcasing local flavours.
Music will also play a central role, with evening concerts featuring acts such as Alcool’emia, Badoxa, Os Descendentes, Acoust Chicks, Naomi Falcon and The Dub Collective, Humberto Silva, DJ Franpe, and Pete Tha Zouk. The festival will close on Sunday with a Sunset Colour Party, combining DJs, music, and a burst of colour on Mareta Beach.
The fair officially opens on Friday at 3:30pm, with local authorities and guests in attendance.
