One of the strong points of the ICC in Lagos is engaging the English-speaking community, both permanent residents and visitors, to help the most disadvantaged families.
Our vision, from the beginning, has been to protect the word of God, simple and effective as it is, believing in this truth as the only thing that truly sets us free! (John 8:32), with Jesus Christ and His Amazing Grace as our main hermeneutical key.
We are a small church, reaching an average of 50 to 80 people in the winter, including residents and visitors from all over the world, especially on weekends.
We hold our main bilingual services, English/Portuguese, on Sundays at 11:00 AM, and a women’s prayer meeting (in English) on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. On the first Friday of each month, we conduct social work, delivering food baskets with non-perishable food to an average of 400 people through the Mustard Seed Association. The ICC has developed other social projects over the years, resulting in several local Portuguese people accepting Jesus as their Savior and deciding to be baptized.
Daniel, my wife, Elisabete, and I have been the main leaders of this church for 11 years, and we have a team of brothers and sisters who have supported us in the services and in the church’s decisions over the years.
When we arrived here, the Lord gave us a vision of a church that is a spring of water, where people from all over the world would come here to drink from this water (John 4:13-14), and it has always been that way.
Normally every year, in September/October, we begin a Bible study that lasts an average of three months, and this year we are already preparing for it, which is open to all who wish to participate.
Our advice as a church is to “Seek the Lord while He may be found” (Isaiah 55:6).
May Our Lord Jesus bless you all.

I am very wary of these churches. I might be wrong, but I believe this is an Evangelical Christian Church. The Evangelicals are notorious for being anti-LGBTQ, misogynist, and very right-wing. They go to countries all over the world trying to convert people and spreading their own propaganda which eventually spills over into government policies. Be wary of these kinds of churches.
