In a statement, the PJ said the case dates back to May 28, 2013, when the man, armed with an electric weapon hidden and a pair of brass knuckles, went to the jewellery store and, after pretending to be interested in several pieces, shocked the owner.

The suspect, a foreign national, tied the jewellery store owner's hands and taped his mouth shut, then dragged him to the warehouse area, where he restrained and abandoned him.

"With the victim already neutralised, he opened the display cases and removed several gold pieces, including wedding rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and medals, valued at approximately €30,000, before fleeing," the statement reads.
