According to the data, "Gondomar is the municipality with the highest growth in tourist overnight stays between 2019 and 2024, increasing from 14,320 to 106,503," and Tarouca is the one that "greatest increased tourist accommodation capacity between 2019 and 2024, increasing from 70 to 262 beds."

The data also indicate that Mira (Coimbra district) "is the municipality with the most tourist overnight stays during the summer months (58.1%), as a proportion of total tourist overnight stays in the year," and Alenquer (Lisbon district) "is the municipality with the greatest increase in the occupancy rate during the summer months, between 2019 and 2024, rising from 17.6% to 48.4%.

Pordata highlights that among the 119 municipalities for which data is available (thus not compromising confidentiality criteria), the three with the largest increase in overnight stays by tourists in local accommodation were Lagoa (Faro district), São Vicente (Autonomous Region of Madeira), and Anadia (Aveiro district).
