According to a report by EFE, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 paired with iPhones compatible with Apple's artificial intelligence (AI), Apple Intelligence, can use the iPhone's translator to get live translations between English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.

The AirPods listen to what the other person is saying and this audio is sent to the iPhone, where AI models translate each phrase on the device and sends the audio back to the AirPods.

AirPods Pro 3 will begin shipping on Friday, and users will also be able to take advantage of the update.

The translation is delayed, which is normal for this type of technology, and contains some errors, according to EFE.

The translated conversation is never saved on the device, and an internet connection is not required to use the tool, as long as the user has previously downloaded the desired languages.
