As part of the 2025 National Enforcement Plan (PNF), this is the tenth of 11 awareness and enforcement campaigns planned for this year, to be held monthly, according to a joint statement from the ANSR, the Public Security Police (PSP), and the National Republican Guard (GNR).

As part of the campaign, which ends on October 20, the ANSR will conduct awareness-raising activities throughout the country, while enforcement operations, "with a particular focus on roads and access points with high traffic flow," will be handled by the PSP and GNR.

In the statement, authorities point out that speeding is one of the main causes of road accidents and accounts for over 60% of reported violations.

ANSR, GNR, and PSP point out that the likelihood of fatalities increases with vehicle speed.
