According to a statement, the Food and Economic Safety Authority (ASAE) inspected herbalists/natural products stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, and websites and social media pages dedicated to the online sale of dietary supplements, inspecting a total of 127 economic operators.

The objective of the nationwide operation carried out by ASAE's regional units was to verify applicable legal standards and identify fraudulent practices in the marketing and labelling of dietary supplements.

The main violations detected during the operation include violations of the rules governing advertising sales with price reductions and failure to comply with the rules regarding mandatory information on food products.

The lack of labelling compliance also led to the seizure of 150 units of dietary supplements.
