A hotel designed entirely for children

I had the chance to stay at Vila Galé Nep Kids, located near Beja, in Alentejo. This hotel represents a unique concept, where everything has been designed to ensure your little ones have the very best time. From the moment we arrived, we felt a positive energy and noticed the special care given to the entire family.

Rooms for families

The hotel features 80 rooms, most of which can accommodate parents with 2 children. The rooms are designed with children in mind, decorated with large paintings of their favourite cartoons such as “Os três porquinhos” (Three little pigs) or “Capuchinho Vermelho” (Little red riding hood).

We visited the hotel while the weather was still warm, so we enjoyed an amazing pool area with thrilling slides, fountains and playful water features, where children and adults can create unforgettable memories. There is a playground just next to the waterpark which offers endless fun for the kids.

Indoor activities

But don’t worry if you don’t have perfect weather, there are plenty of indoor activities too. Children can enjoy a cinema for kids (with a different movie every day), trampolines, a climbing wall, a games area, an area dedicated to books and colouring and even a children’s spa, so there is still the possibility to use a pool all year-round.

An absolute highlight is Treasure Island. Just in front of the hotel is a lake where you can take a pedalo ride, with the choice of a unicorn or a swan. Gliding across the water during the golden hour feels truly magical, thanks to it being in the middle of the lake, overlooking the beautiful landscape.

Kids love the real-sized vehicle area, where they can explore a bus, an ambulance, a firefighter truck, or a typical Lisbon tram with total freedom.

For families and sports enthusiasts, the hotel offers Padel, tennis, or multipurpose courts as well as a yoga room, providing great recreational facility options for both relaxation and active fun.

Excellent entertainers

The dynamic entertainment program led by a team of excellent entertainers offers a wide range of activities such as karaoke, mini chef baking, pool parties, mini discos and others. There is also the possibility to book a children’s birthday party, with activities ranging from magic and puppet shows to a treasure hunt, art workshops or a themed party.

Recently, the hotel introduced a new special addition for families, the Nep Kids Discovery Academy, designed for pre-schoolers and their families. The program is designed to bring families of all generations together, including judo, cooking, dancing and various themed workshops that grandparents can enjoy with their grandchildren.

Great restaurant

Vila Gale Nep Kids features a delightful restaurant serving a variety of both local and international dishes. Guests can indulge in a thoughtfully curated menu that highlights the rich flavours of Portuguese cuisine, all prepared with fresh, local ingredients, perfect even for picky eaters.

Our stay at Vila Galé Nep Kids was absolutely wonderful, with an excellent entertainment team and fantastic entertainment methods for children and parents. The hotel is well prepared for children of all ages, with a diverse and pedagogical program.
