During the early hours of Sunday (October 26), in mainland Portugal and the autonomous region of Madeira, clocks must be set back 60 minutes, moving to 1:00.
In the autonomous region of the Azores, the time change will be made at 1:00 on Sunday morning, moving to midnight.
Standard time will then change back to summer time on March 29, 2026.
The current time change regime is regulated by a directive (Community law) from 2000, which provides that every year clocks are, respectively, advanced and put back by one hour on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October, marking the beginning and end of summer time.
