These actions were focused on preventing crime and road accidents, as well as monitoring administrative and traffic offences.

During this period, 66 people were caught in the act and detained – including 17 for driving without a valid license, 15 for driving under the influence of alcohol, and 12 for drug trafficking.

Across all operations, the GNR seized 156 doses of heroin, 84 of hashish, and 31 of cocaine, along with three knives and a machete.

In terms of road traffic enforcement, officers detected 543 infractions, including 185 for speeding, 45 for failing to complete the mandatory vehicle inspection, and 40 related to faults in lighting and signalling systems.

There were also 15 cases of driving without compulsory civil liability insurance, 15 for improper use of a mobile phone while driving, and 13 for not wearing, or incorrectly using, seat belts or child restraint systems.

The GNR additionally recorded 145 road accidents, which resulted in two serious injuries and 35 minor injuries.
