Concerts will take place on December 4, 5, and 7 at TAGV and Salão Brazil, highlighting women-led Portuguese music projects.
The Lux Interior Festival returns to Coimbra this December with a special edition dedicated entirely to female voices. Organised by Lux Records, who marks its 30th anniversary this year, the festival will feature three nights of concerts on 4, 5, and 7 December at the Teatro Académico Gil Vicente (TAGV) and Salão Brazil.

This sixth edition highlights women-led projects, with performances by Três Tristes Tigres, Raquel Ralha, Keissy & Marginália, Tracy Vandal & John Mercy, Cariño Muerto, and So Dead. According to Lux Records founder Rui Ferreira, the concept began with an invitation to Raquel Ralha, who is the only artist to have played in every edition of the festival, to perform songs exclusively written by her. The idea evolved into a full lineup celebrating female artistry.
The opening night at TAGV will feature Keissy & Marginália, led by Brazilian-born singer Keissy Carvelli, who is set to release her debut album through Lux Records. Also performing that evening are Três Tristes Tigres, one of Portugal’s iconic alternative bands from the 1990s, presenting their latest record, Arca.
On December 5, Raquel Ralha will take the stage for a special concert, followed by the release of Tracy Vandal and John Mercy’s first collaborative album of original songs. The final night, on December 7 at Salão Brazil, will spotlight a more rock-infused program with Cariño Muerto, the duo of Lorena Sequeyro and João Delicado, and So Dead, who released their second album earlier this year.
Since its creation in 2017, the Lux Interior Festival has become a fixture in Coimbra’s music scene, featuring major Portuguese acts such as Mão Morta, Clã, Belle Chase Hotel, and Legendary Tigerman, while continuing to promote the artists on its independent label.
