We meet every Sunday at 10.30 a.m. in the Carvoeiro Tennis Club. Everyone is welcome to join us. The service is held in both English and Portuguese and there is always translation from English to Portuguese or vice versa. Here at All Nations, people speak many different languages, so sometimes you will see a friend or family member translating quietly for someone who does not speak either English or Portuguese.

Every service has a time for worship with song and prayer and also teaching from the Bible. Each week of the month has a different emphasis. Some Sundays the main focus will be the Bible, God's manual for living our lives today and every day. On other Sundays, we celebrate the Lord's Supper, or we have more time to worship or fellowship together.

We believe God has brought us together to love one another, to build good relationships in the church and to explore together the practical side of being a church family. After the service each Sunday, we meet for coffee and time together. Fellowship together is very important, particularly for newer people and visitors, as it gives the opportunity to share experiences and make new friends.

At the moment, the church is led by three couples, Les and Mary, Rodrigo and Grazianne and Daniel and Débora, who form the leadership team. Les and Mary moved from Ireland to the Algarve in 2006. They have been married for 44 years and have three grown-up sons. Rodrigo and Grazianne are from Brazil. They have lived in Portugal for 23 years. They have been married for 18 years and have one son. Daniel and Débora joined the All Nations family in 2018, quickly integrating into the church`s multicultural community and dynamics. They serve in the areas of worship, teaching and translation.

What unites us at All Nations is our love for God our Father, for Jesus who died to set us free and for the Holy Spirit, who is our helper. Our desire is that more and more people will have the opportunity to get to know our amazing God. We are ‘’a work in progress’’, learning together and enjoying being part of all that God is doing in this area.

During the week we usually have home groups in English, German and Portuguese. We also meet to pray once a week. English is probably the main language at most prayer meetings, but it is wonderful to hear people praying in their own language as well.

During the year, we run the Alpha and Freedom in Christ courses in English and Portuguese. The Alpha course is a place where people who have questions about Christianity and life in general can raise these questions in a relaxed and open environment. Anyone is welcome to come to the Alpha course. Contact us for details of the next course. The Freedom in Christ course is for Christians who want to go deeper in their relationship with God. It is an opportunity to understand the things that hold us back in our walk with God and to look at ways of becoming free to enjoy all that Jesus won for us. Both courses usually take place in a home setting and are a great opportunity to get to know other people.

Some of our church family live here all year round and others part-time, reflecting Algarve life. Whether part-time or full-time, we want to see everyone growing spiritually and taking an active part in church life.

If you are visiting the Algarve, you are very welcome to join us on a Sunday. If you have moved to the Algarve and are looking for a church, we encourage you to come and visit us a few times, as you prayerfully decide where your new home church will be. If you live in the area and don’t usually attend a church, you are also very welcome to come and see what we are like. We will make you feel welcome and we would be happy to answer any questions.
