Following an inspection at Carpi Cosméticos Europa, Infarmed identified several legal infractions in the placing of cosmetic products on the national market.

In an informative circular published on its website, Infarmed explains that Carpi Cosméticos Europa placed several cosmetic products on the national market "without having previously ensured compliance with the legal regulations in force, namely with regard to product notification, identification of the Responsible Person in the European Union and labelling requirements".

Furthermore, the presence of the ingredient Butylphenyl methylpropional, banned in cosmetics since March 1, 2022, was detected.

"Consumers who possess these products should not use them," warns Infarmed.
