The official announcement reaffirms Portugal as the ‘Best Golf Destination in Europe’ for the fourth consecutive year.

According to Turismo de Portugal: “This double honour consolidates the excellence of golf tourism in Portugal. Portugal currently has 89 golf courses spread across the seven tourism regions, with a particular focus on the Algarve, Lisbon, Porto and the North.

“Commitment to the environment is a determining factor in Portugal's success in this area. The Portuguese golf sector is actively implementing responsible practices to preserve the resources that characterise the destination, including strategies for the efficient management of water, energy, waste and the reduction of plastics”.

The World Golf Awards are voted for by golf industry professionals, the media and consumers from all over the world. ​
