Diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, should fall by seven cents, matching the drop on February 6, 2023. To find a larger drop, you need to go back to December 12, 2022. Petrol should be 3.5 cents cheaper, according to ACP data. In this case, it is the sharpest drop since April 14 of this year.
When you fill up, you should expect to pay €1.562 per litre of regular diesel and €1.688 per litre of regular 95 petrol, based on the average prices at the pumps on Monday, as released by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).
This week, diesel rose 2.3 cents and petrol fell 0.9 cents. The market had predicted a three-cent increase in diesel and a one-cent decrease in petrol.
