Location variety

According to an analysis by eXp Portugal, the availability of well-maintained homes or those requiring little work before moving in varies significantly by location, indicating that some areas of the country have homes in better condition than others.

The study concluded that Braga is the strongest market, with 82.3% of homes listed for sale in good condition. It is followed by Faro (81.8%), Setúbal (81.6%), Aveiro (81.1%) and, rounding off the top five, Évora (80.8%).

On the other hand, Guarda has the fewest high-quality homes, with only 66.3% of properties listed in this category. Vila Real (66.9%) and Bragança (68.7%) also have fewer homes in this category, highlighting differences in the housing stock across different parts of the country, as mentioned above.

Benefiting the buyers

According to eXp director João Miguel Louro, “Finding a home in good condition can greatly benefit many buyers, allowing them to move in immediately without major renovations.”
