The joint project, involving the forestry, fire, and minerals departments, will supply water for firefighting in Perak and Kedah, reducing reliance on distant sources and improving preparation for seasonal forest fires.

Mohamad Farhan Sukiman, Assistant Director of Perak Forestry Department, has stated that the tube well site did not obstruct wildlife movement and was fenced for safety, but elephants and other animals could still advance freely.
