According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, five of the fatal victims were Portuguese, two were Korean, and one was Swiss.
In turn, Luís Neves, director of the Judiciary Police, also revealed that, "with a high degree of probability," based on documents and information collected in the last few hours, it is possible to identify a German citizen, two Canadians, a Ukrainian, and an American among the fatal victims. The nationalities of the three fatal victims remain to be determined.
According to the executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Álvaro Almeida, of the 23 injured, 13 were considered minor and 10 serious. One of the injured died in the hospital, while six are in the ICU. Almeida reveals that the minor injuries are already out of the hospital, and according to the same source, the minor injuries include Spaniards, Israelis, Portuguese, Brazilians, Italians, and French.
The president of the Forensic Medicine Institute also states that all 16 autopsies were performed in less than 24 hours. To speed up the process, technicians from Porto, Coimbra, and Tomar travelled to Lisbon, a team of 37 members. All the bodies can now be sent to the families.
