"The number of services provided at the Citizen's Space in Altura has been reaching record numbers in recent years, and the municipal seat now has a new location, right in the centre of the town, bringing many services closer to the population," says the Castro Marim City Council.

These services, which take place in the Altura Municipal Market building, have been gradually increasing annually, reaching over 2,000 people in 2023 and 2024.

This space, which serves people not only from the municipality of Castro Marim but also from neighbouring areas, aims to facilitate relations between the State and its citizens, following a logic of administrative decentralization and modernization.

The service operates as a one-stop shop, where anyone can resolve various matters related to Public Administration with the assistance of the staff at the respective location.

Among the services available are the Authority for Working Conditions, the Energy Agency, the ADSE (State Employee Illness Assistance), the AMA (Agency for Administrative Modernization), the ANRS (National Road Safety Authority), the AT (Tax and Customs Authority), the CGA (General Pension Fund), the IEFP (Institute of Employment and Vocational Training), the IGCP (Treasury and Public Debt Management Agency), the IMT (Institute of Mobility and Transportation), the ISS (Institute of Social Security), and the SPMS (Shared Services of the Ministry of Health).

The Citizens' Space is open during the week.
