This year, it will host an unprecedented celebration: one of the largest gatherings of Formula 1 cars ever held in Portugal, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the world championship.
In addition to the highly anticipated Classic GP, where pre-1986 single-seaters battle for victory and glory, the event will feature a unique exhibition and display showcasing Formula 1 cars from every decade. This will allow the public to have a rare opportunity to see, side by side, some of the most iconic examples that have marked the history of the sport, machines normally only found in museums or private collections.
The Portuguese circuit is intimately linked to the history of Formula 1 and has been the setting for chapters that have captured the imagination of millions of fans. It was here that, in 1984, Niki Lauda won his third world title, in one of the most dramatic deciders of all time, defeating Alain Prost by just half a point. A year later, in 1985, the wet Estoril asphalt saw the birth of the legend of Ayrton Senna, who in his black Lotus with gold accents achieved his first Formula 1 victory with a masterful display of control and daring in heavy rain—a harbinger of the legendary career that would follow.
In 1987, the same circuit hosted another golden age, when Alain Prost achieved his twenty-eighth victory, surpassing Jackie Stewart's all-time record and becoming the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. And in 1993, Estoril once again served as a stage for consecration, with Prost celebrating his fourth world title, in a race won by Michael Schumacher in the Benetton Ford.

The unprecedented concentration of single-seaters that Estoril Classics 2025 will present will not be merely a static display: it will be an up-close spectacle, where the public can witness up close the engineering that made the discipline famous, hear the engines spark memories, and feel the vibrancy of decades of innovation and courage.
The single-seater engines will roar on the Friday of the event, October 3rd, with free practice and qualifying. The first race will take place on Saturday at 5:05 PM and the second on Sunday at 2:05 PM, according to the already announced schedule.
Fans will be able to witness the evolution of some of these machines, with free access to the grandstand on the home straight, but entry to the Paddock will be limited. Tickets have been on sale online since July 25th and will continue until 11:59 PM on October 2nd.
Children under 15 years old will have free entry to the Paddock when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
