Following round-robin stages over the first four days of the tournament, the top two teams from each group entered the semi-finals and final. A high standard of bowling was on display from all the teams, and there was an exciting finish as the final two teams fought for the trophy.

The Tournament was won by Kevin Spencer, Peter Morris and Geoff Bailey from Alvor Bowls Club. Dave ‘Whitelegs’ Whitehead, Rob West and Ze Martins were very worthy runners-up. Whitelegs and Rob play crown green bowls in Rochdale but enjoy playing lawn bowls in this tournament. The competitors enjoyed both the bowling and social sides of the Tournament with many having already rebooked for 2026! The 2026 Tournament will run from 28 September to 2 October and entry details are available on the Club website (www.alvorbowlsclub.com).

Alvor Bowls Club welcomes visitors and new members playing both flat green and crown green bowls and full details can be found on the website. Tuition and equipment can be provided for new bowlers.
