As an international, interdenominational church, we bring together people from many nations, cultures, and Christian traditions. Our diversity reflects the heart of Lisbon itself, and we see it as a beautiful picture of the Kingdom of God.
Our mission is simple: love God, love people, and live out the message of Jesus in practical ways. That means we are passionate about God’s Word, prayer, and worship, but also about relationships, service, and making a difference in the city we call home.
Every Sunday we gather at 9:30am and 11:30am. Worship at Riverside is joyful, contemporary, and rooted in Scripture. Together we sing, pray, and hear teaching that connects the timeless truths of the Bible with the real challenges of daily life. During the 11:30am service, we also provide Sunday School for children and Igniteen for teenagers, creating spaces where young people can grow in faith in a way that speaks to their age and stage of life.
We share our space with our partner NGO, the Lisbon Project, an organisation dedicated to the integration and empowerment of migrants and refugees. This unique partnership allows us to serve together, supporting some of the most vulnerable in our city. We believe the Gospel calls us to welcome the stranger, and it is a joy to see faith expressed in such tangible ways.
Community life continues throughout the week through Social Groups, which bring people together around friendship and encouragement. On Wednesday evenings, we host an open dinner at 7:00pm, followed by a Bible Study.
At the heart of it all, we believe Jesus Christ offers hope, forgiveness, and new life to everyone. Our prayer is that Riverside Lisbon will be a place where hope becomes real — a place where people belong, grow, and join together in shaping a more compassionate city.
