CP said in a report by Sul Informação, that, due to "incidents that forced the immobilization of some units for necessary repairs" and "compliance with the maintenance plan," there are three railcars out of service on the Algarve Railway Line.

Without specifying how many railcars are actually in operation or how many should be, CP simply emphasizes that "it is making every effort to normalize the situation soon, with a view to improving operations and the service provided to the population."

Sul Informação contacted CP after receiving several complaints from users of the Algarve Railway Line. In the report passengers complained of repeated delays, poor conditions in the carriages, and even cancellations that are not communicated in advance and for which no solution has been found.

Regarding the electrification of the Faro and Vila Real de Santo António section, the entity guarantees that "once the certification process is completed and the catenary is activated on the Algarve Line, CP will adjust the commercial supply and the rolling stock allocated there."
