"Due to the high level of participation in the E-Lar program, which received approximately 40,000 applications in six days, the estimated budget for this call has been exhausted, totalling 30 million euros," reads the Environmental Fund's website.

Therefore, the Ministry of Environment and Energy indicates that "the application submission period has closed."

The program was featured on the Environmental Fund website of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, and applications opened on September 30th and closed on Sunday.

The E-Lar program aims to improve thermal comfort in homes and support families in purchasing efficient appliances and electrifying their energy consumption.

The program also aims to encourage the replacement of old appliances with new, lower-consumption appliances and accelerate the electrification of consumption by replacing gas appliances with electric ones.

The support is intended, for example, for induction and conventional electric hobs, electric ovens, or electric water heaters. Those who apply and whose application is approved receive a support voucher for the operation.

Last Friday, the government announced that it will submit a proposal to the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) mission structure and to Brussels to strengthen the E-Lar program.

The government has a total of €100 million to combat energy poverty, €60 million of which is earmarked, for example, for construction projects. Given that the PRR ends in 2026, the minister will propose transferring part of this funding to household appliances.
