To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Picasso Museum in Paris is launching a $60 million expansion that features a new wing for temporary exhibitions and the world’s first open-air sculpture park dedicated to the artist.

This project, called “Picasso 2030”, takes inspiration from Scandinavian gardens where it is possible to touch the artworks.
The construction is set to begin in 2028, merging the museum’s own garden with Square Léonor-Fini, and access to the park will be free.
