The world’s first live wireless-charging highway trial has been implemented on a section of the A10 highway near Paris.

Led by VINCI Autoroutes, Electreon and Gustave Eiffel University under the “Charge as You Drive” initiative, it has been hailed as a breakthrough for electric mobility with cars charging as they drive.
The system supports multiple vehicle types such as cars, vans, buses and trucks, and it is designed to deliver a continuous power of more than 200 kW.
