Among the purposes of the investments to be made in the properties to be transferred, as well as the governmental areas involved, are the economy and tourism, housing, education, social action, culture, agriculture and forestry.

“In the municipality of Sintra, one of the properties included is the former Sintra 3 Tax Office, where a Training and Citizenship Center will be created aimed at the most vulnerable public,” reads a statement.

Arcos de Valdevez, Arganil, Bragança, Castro Verde, Chaves, Figueira da Foz, Fornos de Algodres, Lisbon, Mangualde, Mira, Mogadouro, São Brás de Alportel, Sintra, Tomar, Torre de Moncorvo, Viana do Castelo, Vila do Conde, Vila Nova da Barquinha, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar are the municipalities that will receive these state-owned buildings.

The agreements will be signed at the Queluz Palace in Sintra, and will be attended by, among others, the Secretary of State for the Treasury and Finance, João Silva Lopes, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz.
