Many of us remember the joy of singing Christmas carols, some at school, some in choirs, some door to door with snow flakes falling, some round the Christmas tree. This night is for us to keep the magic going.

CAROLS ON THE CLIFFS is a FREE outdoor community singing event for all. We stress that this is not a concert or a performance. The Stars will be YOU who show up and sing with us. Sustenance will be at hand with mulled wine, hot chocolate, mince pies and stollen.

This is a family friendly Fund raiser for the Portimao Girls’ home CNSC and the Caritas Lagoa Foodbank. Last year we raised 2,400 euros, which was split equally between the two charities.

We will sing carols in English, French, Dutch, German and Portuguese - and many of them will have multi-lingual verses. Carol sheet is supplied.

This year we have the support of many members of The Algarveans Theatre group notably Angela Theobold (vocals), Anne Stevens (keyboard) and many others taking care of refreshments and technical aspects. Also the inimitable Tim Stevens leading the 12 Days of Christmas. Who could ever forget that!

Please dress warmly as the wind can be quite strong on the night! Seating will be on the amphitheatre stone steps, it can be a bit chilly - DO bring a cushion. Santa Hat is optional!
