Lagoa, Algarve – The cultural association Ideias do Levante is pleased to announce that registrations are now open for its two international choral projects for 2026. The highlight for the upcoming year is the official launch of the Ideias do Levante Youth Choir, joining the long-standing Ideias do Levante Mixed Choir.

Both projects are conducted by Professor Maria Saramago and operate in a bilingual format (Portuguese and English). They are open to everyone, regardless of previous musical experience.

Choral Opportunities:

Ideias do Levante Mixed Choir: For those aged 16 and over. Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Newcomers are welcome to a one-month free trial period.

Youth Choir (New for 2026): For young singers aged 7 to 17. Rehearsals will be held once a week (schedule to be confirmed for Friday afternoons or Saturdays). A free trial rehearsal is available for all interested students.

Location and Membership: Rehearsals take place in Room 14 at CEFLA (Centro de Estudos e Formação de Lagoa). Following the trial period, membership involves a one-time registration fee (10€) and a monthly fee (10€). Notably, choir members are exempt from annual association dues, as these are already included in the monthly payment.
