An initiative that unites sports and charity
Among the event organizers were the Dynamo football club, the Ukrainian Journalists’ National Team, the News Center information agency, and the Andrii Matiukha Foundation, which also supported the initiative. The main goal was to create a football field and an inclusive sports space on the territory of the Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Center for Children in Zhytomyr.
Thanks to the project, not only orphans but also approximately 6,000 children from the entire region will be able to engage in sports and football.
The auction featured a number of exclusive lots. These included jerseys signed by Oleksandr Zinchenko and Illia Zabarnyi, balls autographed by players of the Ukrainian national team and Andrii Shevchenko, boxing gloves from Vitalii Klychko and Oleksandr Usyk, a sneaker from tennis player and serviceman Serhii Stakhovskyi, and a collectible coin from the undisputed world boxing champion.
This auction became part of a systemic effort to support initiatives focused on the development of youth sports. The Andrii Matiukha Foundation continues to implement projects in the fields of education, medicine, rehabilitation, and also supports veterans and the strengthening of national defense capabilities.
“In such projects, one truly feels the power of unity — when sports, charity, and humanity create opportunities for those who need them most,” said Andrii Matiukha, president of the foundation.
