The Spanish coach will announce the squad starting at 12:30 p.m. on August 29 at the Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras, for the matches against Armenia and Hungary, the Portuguese team's first matches in Group F of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
In their first matches after winning the Nations League, Portugal will face Armenia in Yerevan on September 6, three days before playing Hungary in Budapest.
Ireland, which Portugal faces in October, is the other team in Group F, with the winner of each group qualifying for the tournament to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and the runners-up competing in a play-off.
