In statements to the Lusa news agency, the same source said that, despite the heavy snowfall, which caught some drivers by surprise, around 6:00 am today, the roads "were all passable," with no traffic restrictions.

Closures

Due to the snowfall, National Road 321, between Cinfães and Castro Daire, and municipal roads 1030, in Gralheira, 1126, between Picão and Gralheira, and 553 and 553-1, between Feirão and Resende, were closed.

The mayor of Cinfães, Carlos Cardoso, told Lusa news agency on Tuesday night that "the snowfall was very quick and intense, and caught some drivers on the road."

According to the Viseu Dão Lafões Sub-regional Command, a bus with 16 passengers and a driver was also trapped in the snow, but everyone was rescued from the vehicle and is doing well.
