The daughter of the legendary Judy Garland and the director Vincente Minnelli, Liza grew up surrounded by the brightest stars of old Hollywood — and crushed under the weight of an impossible name. From her childhood behind the scenes at MGM to the electric chaos of 1970s New York, this musical traces the meteoric rise of a performer who turned vulnerability into spectacle and loneliness into applause.

Amidst failed romances, addictions, endless nights at Studio 54 and the birth of the icon in *Cabaret*, Liza struggles to answer a question that will never leave her: Who’s left when the music stops?
