The São Martinho Fair is the oldest popular event held in Portimão, dating back to 1662 and it takes place annually in November.

At this event, which is one of the unmissable highlights of the autumn festivities, visitors can find the traditional stalls selling food and agricultural products, crockery, plastic goods, toys, costume jewellery, footwear and textiles, as well as the traditional roasted chestnuts, farturas, popcorn and toffee, hot dogs, roast octopus, bread with chorizo, pork sandwiches and other tempting snacks at the bars and small eateries within the grounds.
