With *Wonder Women*, L’Arpeggiata and Christina Pluhar present a celebration of women’s creative power, expressiveness and artistic legacy through the centuries. At the heart of this programme are remarkable works by 17th-century female composers such as Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini and Antonia Bembo.

Soloists Céline Scheen, Benedetta Mazzucato and Vincenzo Capezzuto perform tragic and comic narratives populated by passionate heroines, mystical saints, enchanting figures and ordinary characters grappling with the universal themes of love, fate and devotion.
