The final third of the year will be packed with major events, once again putting the Algarve in the global spotlight. With no races taking place during the summer break common to most championships, the circuit near Portimão has been hosting private events and corporate track days.

Meanwhile, the maintenance team has used this quieter period to carry out improvement works across the facility – all in preparation for the return of the vibrant and dynamic racing atmosphere in the paddock, which kicks off at the beginning of September.

Until the end of the year, two endurance races lasting 24 hours (Lamera Cup and C1) will take place, as the four remaining races are equally exciting, including the European Le Mans Series, the traditional Algarve Classic Festival, and the penultimate round of the MotoGP World Championship.

The MotoGP event will fill the stands of the circuit, especially with strong local support for Miguel Oliveira, who famously won in Portimão in 2020 when the championship first came to the AIA.
