The unprecedented conquest of the Champions League, to which they added the French Championship and the French Cup, allowed PSG to monopolize the FIFPro selections: in addition to the Portuguese left-back and midfielder, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (who transferred to Manchester City), Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi and French forward Ousmane Dembélé were also named.

Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), English midfielders Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) and Cole Palmer (Chelsea), and Spaniard Pedri (FC Barcelona), along with French forward Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) and Spanish forward Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), complete the best eleven of last season.

At 18 years old, Yamal became the youngest player to be selected, surpassing the record set by Mbappé in 2018, when he was chosen at 19, and receiving the first distinction from the representative body of football players, as did Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Pedri, Palmer, and Dembélé.

Portuguese midfielder João Neves, one of the most prominent players on the Parisian team (which also includes his compatriot Gonçalo Ramos), was also nominated, but did not make the best eleven, based on performances between July 15, 2024 and August 3, 2025, as was the case with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese international, forward for Al Nassr, remains the second player with the most appearances in the best eleven of the season, with 15, only surpassed by the 17 of Argentine forward Lionel Messi, currently at Inter Miami, who was also among the finalists.

In the women's sector, English international defender Lucy Bronze (who also has Portuguese nationality) became the first player to be included in the FIFPro best eleven for the eighth time, surpassing Frenchwoman Wendie Renard, who was named seven times.

Bronze shares this team with goalkeeper Hannah Hampton (Chelsea), defenders Ona Batlle (FC Barcelona), Millie Bright (Chelsea) and Leah Williamson (Arsenal), midfielders Aitana Bonmati (FC Barcelona), Ghizlane Chebbak (Badalona/Al Hilal) and Alexia Putellas (FC Barcelona) and forwards Barbra Banda (Orlando Pride), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City/Arsenal) and Alessia Russo (Arsenal).
