The 'reds', who were already winning 42-26 at halftime, confirmed their supremacy this season, adding the national title to the Portuguese Cup and the Federation Cup, after defeating Quinta dos Lombos, the Super Cup holder, which forced a fifth game in the League final.

With this triumph, their fifth in six seasons, Benfica equals the number of titles won by CAB Madeira, standing out from the trio formed by União Sportiva, Olivais FC and GDESSA, who each have three titles, while Quinta dos Lombos remains with two, the last of which was in 2013/14.
