The fire that broke out on 17 June at a shoe factory in the parish of Margaride, in Felgueiras, in the Porto district, was under control at 7:30 am, a civil protection source said, indicating that there were no victims.

A source from the Tâmega e Sousa Sub-Regional Command told the Lusa news agency that the fire, which was reported at 4:33 am, was confined to the shoe factory.
At 7:34 am, 41 personnel were on site, supported by 13 vehicles from the Felgueiras fire department and other fire brigades.
