On 2 September, the brand will open a store in Forum Castelo Branco and on 10 September in Alegro Setúbal. The opening of these two new stores represents an investment of over €45 million by the brand, which continues to invest in Portugal.
In total, the new stores will generate more than 80 jobs. In Castelo Branco, more than 30 vacancies are expected, while in Setúbal more than 50 jobs will be generated.

What will the stores be like?
In Castelo Branco, the Primark store will have 929 square meters of retail space, while the Setúbal store will be larger, with more than 1626 square meters.
The stores will offer products for men, women, and children, as well as beauty, lifestyle, and home goods such as linens and decorations. In addition to traditional payment methods with a cashier present, customers will also be able to use a self-checkout service, promoting greater flexibility in payment methods.
More stores on the way
In addition to the newly announced openings, Primark also plans to open new stores in Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. In Covilhã, also in the Castelo Branco district, a new Primark store may open, based on the investment announced in 2024. After the expansion plan is completed, it is expected that there will be 18 Primark stores in Portugal, creating 300 new jobs.

Lets hope they do a better job at stocking the products shown on their website, every store in Portugal has remained out of stock of an XL item for months and their response when contacted was "Check our website"!
