Forest fires are reducing in main forests

The burned area in Amazonas has decreased in 2025, compared to 2024, as mentioned by the monitoring group MapBiomas.

In 2025, only 3.1 million hectares of Brazil’s Amazon were burned, compared to 15.8 million hectares in 2024.
