The campaign begins in its first phase digitally, on Andante's social media networks, with a particular focus on TikTok, and combines elements of young people's daily lives, such as music, games, humour, and lifestyle.
Alongside the digital focus, the campaign will be available on different public transport operators, namely CP, Metro do Porto, STCP, and the UNIR network.
In a statement, the company says that “despite the free nature of this service, we are aware that many young people and families are unaware of this benefit. Through this campaign, we want to associate mobility with freedom and discovery in a relaxed and approachable way. It is at this stage that the loyalty of these users begins, and it is through each new trip and experience that we attract future generations to more sustainable mobility.”

It's not free, someone has to foot the bill. It's just a feel good move by the government because anyone can afford the dirt cheap fares. All this socialist nonsense does is tax the people who need to keep as many cents as they can. And you know, it makes Portugal look "progressive" in the eyes of the outside world when in reality it's a totally regressive move. But we got to keep those students and youngsters voting socialist with these fake benefits.

We actually live here in Portugal and are proud to pay the taxes to have a govt that wants to help those for whom even "dirt cheap" tickets are expensive. Perhaps those who live in places and under govts that care little for their taxpayers lack standing to criticize our system and values.
