afpop's largest annual event is returning to the Portimão Arena on 3 and 4 October, with free admission.

All of the fantastic businesses, great discounts, promotions and information that thousands of visitors have come to enjoy over the decades will remain, but this year there will also be new features to help people living, investing and visiting Portugal.

The afpop expo aims to be a direct reflection of the work the not-for-profit association carries out every day. This means that visitors will have access to businesses offering discounts, special services and promotions. They can also learn more about the wider community here in Portugal with numerous charities being represented and importantly gain essential information about living in Portugal.

Not only can visitors benefit from speaking directly with the members of the afpop team about anything from renewing your residency, to applying for a driving licence or where to go to pay your taxes, we will also be hosting representatives from the GNR, PSP, and Bombeiros to share important hints and tips.

This year we will also welcome representatives from various different Embassies and Consulates in Portugal, including those from the British, Irish, German and US – giving visitors the opportunity to speak directly with the people who can really help.

“This year we really want to emphasise the truly international nature of the association, reflecting our hugely diverse membership from across the globe. We know that people of different nationalities often require very specific and unique help and information, and we want to help foreign residents with their needs no mater where they originate from in the world”.

The 2026 afpop expo will also feature a dedicated demonstration area encompassing various entertainment and lifestyle demonstrations to appeal to all ages and interests – further reinforcing the commitment as an association to bringing people together.
