Drivers and truck drivers arrived at IC2 in Coimbra, honking and protesting against the rising fuel prices felt in Portugal, which are affecting the economy in different sectors, including food prices.

The drivers arrived in Coimbra around 12:45, marking the end of a protest that started early in the morning in Lisbon.

In total, there were 450 trucks, as stated by Lusa, that made a 5-hour trip to Coimbra, creating constraints in traffic in the area. All the safety measures were ensured by the police forces in the field.
