The information was given by the airline CEO Johan Lundgren, who stated that easyJet is reducing operations during the off-peak season to reduce the purchase of fuel, which has been increasing since the conflict in the Middle East.
The seat reduction translates into a reduction of approximately two days' worth of flights.
Usually, easyJet would offer around 50 million flight seats from October to March. The company’s CEO revealed that all airlines are following the same procedures due to the high fuel prices, which nearly doubled when the USA and Iran conflict started. Even with some reductions, the prices remain above initial expectations.
