The all-weekend festival reaches its halfway mark with sets from the likes of Asake, one of the biggest names in Nigerian music, performing on the Lit Stage. This is one of three stages at Afro Nation this year, alongside the jazzier Piano People and the ravier Technotronic Stage, a new addition for 2026 located within the NoSoloÁgua beach club that plays electronic music through to 8pm. The middle part of this festival hosts a challenging responsibility of evolving the quality of the atmosphere past the first day and into the last, but the team behind Afro Nation has planned the event to deliver the best of Afrobeats, Amapiano, dancehall, and hip-hop.

Building a festival to last a whole weekend calls for arrangements to be made not just regarding the top-of-the-industry lineup of musicians, but the lineup of experiences, too. The YAM Food Court is a dedicated station for satisfying your cravings during the course of the event, serving African and Caribbean cuisine, such as the rice-based dish Jollof Mamma, to be enjoyed on the beach. Other options for dinner include Abarka, offering Senegalese cuisine, Pazza Crust, offering Caribbean-inspired patty pizzas, Raps, offering a unique African fusion wrap concept, and Rhythm & Roots, who are widely regarded as one of Lisbon’s top destinations for West African cuisine.

The options for passing the time at Afro Nation go beyond food and music. The hotel takeover is an inclusive package available for VIP guests featuring luxury hospitality, exclusive meet and greets with artists, and pool parties with live music played by the likes of Uncle Waffles, Joshua Baraka, JAZZWRLD, Mellow and Sleazy, and Skyla Tylaa.
